Majo (Maria Jose) is an Industrial Designer in love with Origami, if she is not reading historical fiction novels you’ll find her with a folded piece of paper in her hand. She works as Key Account Manager to multinational clients at an industrial packaging company. On the weekends she loves to explore new restaurants and catch up on all her shows. Majo is from Manizales, a city in Colombia’s coffee region - home of BlueBird coffee, but has lived in Bogota for more than 20 years.
Your Go-to from Cafe Advocate?
My favorite Advocate coffee is the Blue Bird Gesha. But not just any Blue Bird Gesha, it must have been roasted at least four months ago, that’s when all its true flavors really begin to show.
How do you take your Coffee?
Black! But I must admit I really like the Blue Bird Natural Castillo (soon to be available) with a shot of milk.
How did you fall in love with Coffee?
Being from Manizales, at the heart of the Colombian Coffee Region, coffee has always been an important part of my life and my family. But I really started to get to know the wonderful world of coffee, from its harvest to the incredible variety of preparations, when I started to develop the Blue Bird Coffee brand with Juan David Hurtado.
