Shipping policy
Processing time is estimated to be between 3-4 days, we want to assure you that you will receive fresh coffee shipped from the source as soon as possible. Usually our processing time is 24 hours or less, but this may vary based on shipping schedules and roasting schedules.
At this time, we are proud to import our specialty coffee from Colombia and Guatemala. When you place an order, the coffee will come directly from the country of origin to your home. Therefore, if your order has coffees from different regions, they will arrive separately. Cafe Advocate will provide tracking information for each of your coffee beans. If you purchase merchandise in our store, that will be shipped from our HQ (NYC).
Our Guatemalan coffee is shipped via UPS, and our Colombian coffee and any other merchandise is shipped via USPS. These carriers also observe most national holidays, so that may affect shipping times. Due to the unprecedented circumstances of the pandemic, domestic carriers are experiencing extended delivery times. Though deliveries may be delayed, all parties are working hard to get your order to you as quickly and safely as possible.
Currently, we only ship within the United States. We ship within the contiguous U.S. at a flat rate of $5 or $10 depending on the weight of your package. Additional fees will be incurred for Alaska and Hawaii.
Please double check your address before checking out; if you need an address change please email us within 2 days of placing your order. Once the label is created and the order has shipped, any changes are out of our control and as much as we want you to receive your package, final delivery is out of our hands.
We’ll send you a notification when your order has shipped. If it’s been 48 hours and you still haven’t heard from us, please let us know.
Once a package is picked up and scanned in by our carrier, the shipping and delivery status is no longer within our control; we are unable to replace missing or stolen packages at this time. Please reach out directly to the courier for missing or stolen packages.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy and safety of the shipping address provided. We will not be held liable for incorrectly entered shipping information or packages left, stolen or missing from an unreliable or unsafe shipping address.
Please consider shipping to an address where someone is always present to receive the delivery, i.e. workplace or grandma's place.
